ROUTE OF INDUSTRIAL CULTURE IN THE FILSTAL

The Fils crosses the district of Goeppingen. The cyclist's route of a length of 67 kilometers from Filstal is always accompanied by the river. It connects all the cities and towns along Fils, and its visitors can discover many important testimonies of a long and impressive industrial history, as well as a business culture still alive in the Filstal. Featured example: The Bambi is produced at the Kunstgerei Strassacker in SueSsen, or also the first handkerchief that comes from the Filstal.

Panels or advertisements with lots of information and images along the bicycle lane point to exceptional testimonials and important places. These include, for example, Maerklin in Goeppingen, WMF in Geislingen or the settlement of workers in Kuchen.

Thematically, the Industrial Heritage Route, developed by the Stuttgart Region with the municipal partners, establishes six priorities:
