THE WINE ROUTE
Hiking in Stuttgart

Weinwanderweg, Wineyards of Wurttemberg

WURTTEMBERG WEINWANDERWEG

The Württemberg Wine Route connects the wine-producing regions of Württemberg between Tauber and Neckar, the route leads from the mountains in the Bavarian Franconia through the Tauber Valley to Hohenlohische. Travel through the Heilbronn countryside with the high mountains around Weinsberg and Heilbronn. From there, it makes a curve in the Zabergaeu and the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Natural Park, which is considered optional for the hiking trail. In Wunnenstein you will again reach the main route, which leads to Steinheim in Mur and Marbach in the Neckar to the lower Rems valley. Through the provincial capital of Stuttgart, the road finally crosses the vineyards of the ancient imperial city of Esslingen.

With a length of 470 kilometers, the Schwaibischen trail is the longest German thematic trail and opens the boundaries of 58 wine communities. Friendly villages of Wengerter, wine presses and wineries, as well as taverns that invite you to visit them to taste their specialties.
