It is a university city rich in traditions, located on the banks of the Neckar River, and south of Stuttgart, in the State of Baden Wurttemberg. The life of the city is dominated by its students, hence Tubingen is the city with the lowest average age in Germany. Also considered as one of the German cities with better quality of life.
Its historic center is impressive, still preserved with the ancient architecture of the region, one of the cities that did not suffer total destruction during the Second World War, so that you can still appreciate very accurately the architectural details characteristic of the history of the south from Germany, old structures with wooden base and sloping roofs, bright colors and cobblestone street.
Tour by the Neckar River
The beauty of the city is much better appreciated from the Neckar. Inspired by Venice, the students of the University of Tubingen help themselves economically by attending to their visitors, and giving them to know the city from the water.
Organizing small trips in canoes, in the same way there is available organization of social events on the water, even to concerts, the environment is very friendly and entertaining.
