Ludwigsburg Palace...Ostentatious palace as a versatile world of adventures
The Residence Hall of Ludwigsburg is one of the few baroque works that has survived almost intact the turbulent history of the last centuries. It is a huge palatial construction with 18 buildings and more than 450 rooms. The size and splendor of this complex are not the only attractions of this Ludwigsburg badge, but also its ostentatious equipment. With Baroque, Rococo and Classicism, the palace encompasses three distinct eras and its architectural styles. However, the Ludwigsburg Palace is also highly valued for its museums and attractions for young and old: The Museum of ceramics, in addition to the Ludwigsburg porcelain, also houses medieval stone art objects and artistic ceramics of the 20th century, The fashion museum stages a parade with dresses from the 18th to the 20th century and the private rooms with original furniture by Duque Carl Eugen exhibit the most valuable furniture and accessories from the Rococo period. In the baroque gallery, visitors can admire exclusive works by various artists of the last centuries. In the Kinderreich interactive museum, it is allowed to do everything that in the other museums is normally prohibited, touch, try and participate. The Palace is one of the largest original baroque buildings in Europe and offers visitors an impressive journey through the centuries, from Baroque to Classicism, passing through the Rococo. From hunting castle to ostentatious residence, the first palace, the former Corps de Logis, began in 1704 as hunting palace of Duke Eberhard Ludwig, when the palace was designated residence in 1718, the duke wanted to extend it to honor his new representative status. The architect Donato Giuseppe Frisoni, who assumed the management of the palace works, later elaborated the plans for the new main building, the New Corp de Logis in the south, so that three rooms of the palace were closed with a fourth. In 1733 all the buildings of this imposing complex were completed. Impressive tour through the different times, a walk through the majestic rooms of the palace allows visitors to immerse themselves in different periods and styles: the luxurious interior reproduces the Baroque lifestyle, the Rococo and classicism.
