On our visit we chose to stay at the Siva Grand Beach hotel, located in the tourist hotel zone and apparently one of the oldest hotels in this area, in fact one of the first of the main hotels street.
The hotel has good things but also things that could improve. We start with the good things we could find.
Its main “plus” incomparable and invaluable, is the beach, I think without a doubt, it is one of the hotels that has the best beach in this area,. In front of the hotel there is a sandbar, (I think artificial to facilitate navigation in that part of the sea). That sandbar divides the beach into two zones, one with little depth so you can be with children, and the other deeper to swim, at low tide the sandbar allows you to walk inside the sea, and in deeper side you will see more fish, great for snorkeling. At this point the hotel has 20 points out of 10!

As for its infrastructure, the place is quite large, has a main building and on its sides it has independent cabins, in the middle a large garden with the pool, the place has two restaurants next to the lobby, and additionally it has a restaurant on the beach but that is only available at lunch time. Also the snack area that is in front of the pool with burgers, hotdogs, pizza and salad.

It has 4 bars outside, two on the beach, one in the pool and one in front of the pool in the main building. Next to the pool they have a stage for the entertainment team. In general in what is external infrastructure and common areas the place is quite beautiful.
But what about the rooms? we can say that it could improve a lot more, although it is true they are comfortable, they are nothing special and they even feel a bit old, with details that need a little maintenance and better cleaning, but it is acceptable, a lot more when the price is quite good.

Another point in favor is the food, the restaurant service offers a wide variety of food, meats combined with vegetables, carbohydrates of different types, pasta, rice, potatoes, salads, desserts, perhaps the only detail is that there is very little fruit, but being in the middle of the desert you cannot be very demanding much fruits. The taste is good in everything, without a doubt the change in diet is possibly heavy to digestion, but that is normal when visiting regions that are used to cooking with other species and condiments.

Now the points against. Besides from the mentioned of the rooms, that we could say it is an average evaluation. What we found quite bad were the bar hours on the beach. The best bar in the sand closes the service at 5 pm, the perfect time to be on the beach to say goodbye to the sun. The other beach bar closes an hour later but this one is not big enough and is not on the sand.

Second issue that we find is deficient in the entertainment, the hotel apparently does not have funds for this part of the experience, for an entertainment team it has just a group of young guys who do what they can with virtually nothing, you won't find much to do at night No show, no dance, no live music, no time to party, practically nothing.

Third point that is not very pleasant, was that they offer you services at all times, more than anything when you are relaxed on the beach you will often have someone who comes to sell you a haircut, or a massage, a tour, fix your toenails or a number for a tombola, I feel a bit uncomfortable because if you like that service it is very easy to find it on your own inside the hotel, and also if you already said that you are not interested I think it should of being enough

Another bad point is that many times during the same day we were told that they had no beer, and many times the beer was served halfway through the glass and warm. Personally I do not drink cocktails in this type of services because they always offer the cheapest and poor quality liquors, but in addition, I noticed that they were served without ice! Big mistake, hot beer and cocktails without ice!

The other detail is the issue of tips and service, they want to force you to sit down and if you want to go to the bar they will try to sit and make you wait, it is understood that they intend that people consume less and that users are giving tips to waiters, but waiting for a hot beer is not very pleasant, and incidentally having to tip for that. And if you do not tip, all the service identifies you, then you will be destined to never be served, and when you look to go to the bar for your drinks they will attend you in a hostile way. So if you're looking to drink alcohol and celebrate with friends, I think this place won't be satisfactory, if you're looking to relax and not use the bar, I think the facilities and the beach are perfect.

In general I think it will depend on the price you pay, if the price is quite low I think it is acceptable, it is certainly not perfect, but it is acceptable, you just have to count certain details and go prepared mentally, but I emphasize again, the Beach is a paradise, !!
